Понятие КАСКО и ОСАГО
ОСАГО – это аббревиатура, которая расшифровывается как: обязательное страхование гражданской ответственности владельцев транспортных средств. Страховка защищает ответственность обладателя полиса перед другими людьми. Например, водитель врезался в другую машину. Тогда он должен компенсировать ущерб пострадавшим. За него это сделает страховая компания.
Но ремонт своей машины по ОСАГО нельзя компенсировать. Для этого нужна страховка КАСКО. Она защищает машину от повреждения и угона. Пропадёт машина или её разобьют – страховщик отремонтирует или заплатит за не полную стоимость. Кстати, КАСКО – это не аббревиатура, а испанское слово, которое переводится как «корпус». Правильно писать это слово маленькими буквами, но страховщики всё-таки используют большие.
